This year we met up with Lisa (Bryce's sister), Jim & Jim's very sweet family for the big turkey day. We were in charge of sweet potatoes and sweet potatoes we did bring. So many sweet potatoes, in fact, that we ended up bringing home half as many as we took there. And there were lots of leftovers that we left with Jim's parents, too. Yikes. Note to self - 14 sweet potatoes makes a LOT of sweet potatoes. More than the average 14 people can safely and comfortably - or even uncomfortably - consume. More on the sweet potato story below... Anyway, we had a great ole time and thoroughly enjoyed our day in PA. Sophie loved seeing Aunt Lisa and Uncle Jim, as well as Jim's adoring sisters and parents. It was really nice to be with family on Thanksgiving. And speaking of giving thanks, I am really thankful for cell phones that let us talk so easily to our so-far-away family in MA and CA on Thanksgiving. Glad to know that everyone else had a happy turkey day, too! Anyway, here are some pics from yesterday...

Oh yes, and here are the sweet potatoes.... got a little carried away with the marshmallows,
and then the oven tried to carry them away from the potatoes...
It was a tad embarassing to make such a mess of someone else's oven!
