Ode to the Curls (and assorted odds & ends)

Bryce doesn't get why I go completely bonkers over this crop of curls growing on Bridget's head. Actually, I'm not sure that I get why I go completely bonkers over them, either -- especially considering how un-fond I am of my own curls... But anyway, they are WAY cuter on her head than mine - and much tighter than mine have ever been. And I think they are SO. ADORABLE. Anytime I have a camera in hand (which hasn't been often lately), I find myself snapping pics of the back of her head. So, here's a photographic ode to cute little curly tops:

Here we are on a normal day -- front view

and back view:

and then there was the day she woke up from her nap with EPIC bed head!
It was positively awesome!
I don't know whether or not the curl will stay past her first haircut... but part of me thinks it might mostly b/c of how her hair curls straight up in the front and on top of her head.
That and the humidity may help it hang in there longer than it might otherwise. :)
In any case, I am loving the curlies!
Hooray!

Ok, ok, while I'm here I may as well post a few other pictures that I just uploaded...

Travis just started a little preschool program through the school district here. It's an articulation program that will (hopefully) help with his speech development. He was/is thrilled to death to get to go to school like Sophie. Here he is on his first day!
During spring break, our library hosted the Texas Bubblelady and she performed her "Incredible Bubble Show." The kids LOVED it (so did I). She gave us her special bubble recipe, as well as the items needed to make her favorite bubble maker (two straws and some yarn). Travis has been asking me ever since when, oh when, could we puh-leeease make incredible bubbles. This weekend the weather was lovely outside and we tried our hands at bubble making. It was totally awesome. Here are some pics:Travis was completely obsessed with trying to get the bubble over his head - he was COVERED in bubbles by the time they were finished... :)

and we'll leave you with Sophie's "Fansy Pankake Sunday." Strawberries were on sale at the store and so how could I possibly leave without some whipped cream?! Unthinkable. It's her new favorite breakfast. :) Au revoir!

Sometimes playing with Travis looks like this:

and other times it looks like this:
poor baby! it's been interesting to watch the evolution of a black eye -- and also to watch everyone's reactions at church on Sunday. Here's to a speedy recovery!

Don't Fall Over...

...but I am posting. True, it's been since November since I last posted on here, but a certain aunt requested photos of the little ones, so how can I not comply with that request?! These aren't exactly super recent (most from Jan), but it's the best I can do right now... Without further ado:

hanging out in the backyard
with her playdough creations
A tea party...
