I know this blog is mostly about Sophie, but I thought this was so cool so I have to post it. This weekend we made our way to this large sporting goods store not far from our place and wouldn't you know it, they had a climbing wall! Sophie and I talked Bryce into giving it a go and he ended up climbing the 3rd hardest section (of 4 sections) of the wall. This thing was 42.5 feet tall and I could not believe how quickly Bryce zipped up the thing! There were even some store employees who stopped working to watch him climb when they saw he was going to try one of the more difficult sections. Part of the wall had an overhang (and for those of you who - like me - have no clue what this means... an overhang is when you have to climb basically upside-down b/c the wall arcs over you -- like the top of the letter "C". Incidentally, Bryce thinks it's hilarious when I explain it that way, but it makes sense to me!). Anyway, the overhang part was totally impressive to watch. At the top Bryce clanked a cow bell to indicate victory over the wall. Sophie and I cheered safely from the ground. Got a few pics with my phone to capture the moment. They don't really do the wall justice, but imagine climbing 4 stories and you basically get the idea. Here's to our Spider Man!!
