Touch A Truck

This Saturday Round Rock hosted a "Touch A Truck" event at Old Settlers Park.

Right off the bat I have to say I was totally impressed with this event put on by the city of Round Rock. The had a wide variety of trucks on display - from fire trucks to SWAT vehicles to steam rollers to trash trucks to diggers! I think the best station by FAR was the backhoe where they let the kids operate the shovel!

We waited close to an hour in line for our turn (the kids were really suprisingly good) but it was TOTALLY worth it!

The next best event was getting to watch a helicopter land and take off. I was suprised how close they let us sit to it. I'm not sure if the kids or I were more excited. I found myself talking to a National Guard recruiter about joining up (to fly) before I realized that might be way too big a surprise to spring on Lisa when I got home.

Like father like son (and uncle)?

Showing off the results of my trip to the range - 2 lifetime memberships and a red mark!
Muscle tone existed prior to the trip :)

We started our day with a trip to home depot to make festive napkin holders!

It was a fun and busy day. Hopefully a few memories at least!

Lately

A few pics for those who might be interested of our goings-on of late:

Bridget turned 2!! I took a few pictures on her actual birthday:

Grandma & Grandpa LaPierre came to town!!  Brooke was given a name and a blessing while they were here.  It was a lovely day - thanks to all who were able to come!

Then Uncle Cris came to visit!!  Very exciting stuff.  Bridget was not in the least bothered by the fact that she suddenly had two dads.  She would happily go from Bryce's lap to Cris' lap and then back again.  2 dads?!  How convenient is that?!?!

Travis hanging out with a couple of his best buddies:

Bridget looooooooooves to be outside.  It finally got cold enough to wear a coat and since hers happens to be 2000% adorable (thanks gma & gpa LaP!), I snapped a couple pics:

Lots of hype for Halloween.  LOTS.  Sophie and Travis got to go to a costume party this weekend and were "supery-dupery" excited to wear their Halloween costumes for the first time this Halloween week.  Here is Sophie as Goldilocks and Travis as a skunk.  :)

Sophie lost another tooth!

And finally, some recent pics of Brooke:

Aunt Renee made these ADORABLE boots - thank you!!!  Just what every Texan girl needs!!
