Man's best friend

I know what you're thinking, Sophie's on all fours, surely that is why this post is titled "Man's Best Friend." Unfortunately, you would be wrong. This post is dedicated to our brand spakin' new Bissell Cleanview II Bagless MAXIMUM POWER 12 amp vacuum. This could be the first new vacuum I've ever owned - they come in boxes from the store, not just in closets and basements in apartments you move into. Who knew? See below for my reaction to Sophie smudging the brilliant finish.

I could hardly wait to get to work and quickly began cleaning every flat surface in our house. It works great - I proudly display my take below. The saddest part was not 2 days before I had vacuumed the entire house with our old vacuum. That old beast won't be missed at all to say the least.

Favorite things about this new vacuum:
  1. It's NEW!
  2. It WORKS!
  3. It's a bagless version with a clear canister in front. I like to look at the canister periodically as I'm vacuuming to check my progress! Nothing motivates like seeing the dirt you're picking up.
  4. In addition, it has filters you can wash/rinse and reuse! No hunting through stores for bags or other accessories, ever!
  5. The best part is that while it was selling for less than $80.00 at home depot (not available on their website yet though), I had a gift certificate from my sister-in-law that knocked the price down even lower.
So in a nutshell - we love it.

As a fellow lover of vacuuming, nothing brings me more joy than vacuuming and watching dust, dirt, and other gunk collect in the clear chamber. Huzzah for the new vacuum.

Now, the real question is whether or not you've create parallel lines in the carpet when you're done.

We have a similar bagless vacuum.Aren't they great?! It's one of Brian's favorite toys. I like taking apart the filters and cleaning them... so satisfying. Unfortunately, Sam likes NOTHING about the vacuum...it's loud, it's big, it's scary, and Mom can't play with her or comfort her when the vacuum is running. She cries and runs to a corner every time it comes out of the closet. Tell Sophie... beware.
