Hello hello hello! Just a quick update around here for those of you out there who follow this... all 3 of you, anyway. :) Here's what's been going on the last month or so...
Sophie had her big performance for her singing class she was in over the summer. She looooooved this class - and they were so cute up there just singing their hearts out!
All ready to get up on stage!

The whole crew - there were 3 groups of kids and Sophie was in the youngest group

Look at that stage presence! :)

a pic of probably my favorite choreography and lyrics = "be kind to your parents, remember they're grown-ups, a difficult stage of life!" So true, so true...

Then, Marci & Matt flew in for a weekend trip to see the BYU/UT football game! We didn't win, but it was still really fun and AN. EXPERIENCE. Wow. Those UT fans are outrageous -
double outrageous!!! (100 points to any Moorhead who can tell me what movie that quote is from...) We had awesome seats, but were in the middle of a sea of orange, so I felt like we got a true texas football experience. The whole everything-is-bigger-in-Texas thing
definitely applies to football. Definitely!
pre-game -- getting ready to find parking!

one side of the stadium - there were 101,000 people there that night. ?!?!?

ok, there was one non-awesome part about the game and that was the gi-normous stadium chairs that the 2 guys in front of us were sitting in. These things were RIDICULOUS. The pic below give you an idea for how tight things were in the leg room department for Bryce and Marci. When Bryce was standing up, the back of his leg was touching our bench and the front of his leg was touching this dude's chair. And his leg is not that big, peeps. It was really insane, but Marci and Bryce were good sports about it. I probably would have "accidentally" stuck my texas-sized corndog in his ear or something... Anyway, the game was fun!

While M&M were here, we also headed on over to Rudy's for some coleslaw and BBQ!
They were fans. Esp of the coleslaw. Good stuff, apparently!! ;)

Cute little Trav. It is SO WEIRD not having Sophie around during the day!!

Some of Bryce's good friends from the MBA program also came for the football game and we had a little reunion. It was really great to see them all, though we did miss the Fairhursts (but we left a spot for them in this pic!)

Then Bryce had a birthday!!! Happy B-day, Brycie!
The piano music was a hit!

Bridget inspecting the loot

I made him a Fruit Cake for our birthday dinner and it turned out so cute!

So cute, in fact, that you get a close-up of this one... :)

But probably the BIGGEST news of all, is that it RAINED yesterday!!!! I was at the store when it started and people were running to the front of the store to watch it and cheering and saying how it was the most beautiful thing they've ever seen, etc. It didn't last nearly long enough, but we'll take every last raindrop we can get! Bryce and Travis celebrated by using our neglected umbrellas and dancing in the rain!

father/son

Annnnnd, that's all for now. Seems I get on here about once a month lately, so hopefully these tide you over till October! ;) See you then!
ps - Bridget walks. Everywhere. She's even getting pretty good at running, though still not any better at the stairs yet. YIKES! But she is just the cutest little muncher in all the world!!! A few pics before I sign off for GOOD this time. :)

pss - she also likes the camera. :)

so what was the piano music? - Phantom? Les Mis? Janene Brady?
Glad to hear someone's playing!
Looks wonderful. A singing camp!
love the idea.
I'm sure there are people here in the east who are dieing to give you some of their moisture!
Keep on posting, Lisa, It makes my whole month 'cause I keep rereading yours.
Riget's eyes look like crystals. Seriously.
Soph was born for the stage. I can imagine the director loves having her! Glad to see Trav is still getting some use out of his Woody jams. Cracks me up!
kay, Lisa dear. Too much to say here. First, I meant to comment on your last post (from last month)... must include all my thoughts here...
-- How AWESOME that you got to have a partial lunch-bunch reunion. I keep wanting to write a lunch-bunch email just for old time's sake. But act surprised, if I actually get it sent. :)
-- The LaPierre reunion takes the cake!! Hands down, that is the most amazing family reunion I've ever see/heard of. Makes me want to be adopted into the family, JUST for the reunions!
-- And that back-to-school pic of you is just adorable! Isn't it fun to have a school girl now?! I'm loving it! (mainly because SHE is loving it!)
-- Can't believe Baby B is WALKING?!?! wow. And look at her darling baby blues. Soooo cute. Wish we could get our almost-twin babies together. I'm sure they could teach each other a thing or two about proper one-year-old-hood.
-- I thought of Bryce on his birthday, looks like it was a happy one! That fruit cake is sooooo adorable! I may just have to steal that idea sometime. How fun!
-- When you wrote BYU/UT game, I got soooo confused... why would Matt and Marci fly to TX for a UT (as in "Utah") football game? But Brian clued me in... and the "orange" references filled me in. Sounds like a crazy game.
-- Your hair is so long and gorgeous. Marci's too. I like. :)
I shoulda just written an email, huh? But this is more efficient. Keep your monthly "updates" coming... I'm always lurking. :)
Loving all the pictures! When did your kids all grow up?!? Sophie looks way too old and when did Bridget stop being a baby? All of your children are so beautiful (it's in the genes) and I LOVE the fruit cake~ awesome idea!!!!
Oh my goodness. Can't believe Bridget is walking/running. Ava is still extremely cautious in that department. Looks like you guys are having fun!!!
Sophie's little class looks so cute.
I was thinking about you today and hoping you had a fabulous birthday. One of these days we need to celebrate together, IN PERSON!
Maybe we should get Sawyer and Bridget together and she can give him some walking lessons. He can climb up to my kitchen sink, but still no walking.
