Today this sweet little kiddo had the skin tag he was born with removed. He also had tubes put in his ears and we are REALLY REALLY hoping that we don't have another 8 ear infections in the coming 12 months. The doctor said he had a ton of gunk in his right ear - apparently enough to clog up two of his gunk-removing instruments and then some more. Yikes. Soooo, maybe he'll score better on his next hearing test, too. Here's hoping!
Some pics from this morning:
CUTE BABY!!!
Getting dressed in his surgery dressIn the recovery room. He came to long enough to transfer from the nurse to me, and then he was OUT. Poor little guy. He was not happy about the IV in his arm and kept trying to shake it off.The little dude is sleeping now and we're hoping for smooth sailing the rest of the day!
(PS- He probably didn't like the IV because it prevented him from trying to wrestle with the doctors and nurses. He still likes wrestling, right? One of the things I'm looking forward to most at Christmas is seeing Tee-rav wrestle.)
I hope the surgery has the effects that you're hoping for! He's too cute in his surgery robes. Poor little guy. I hope he's feeling better soon and back to normal...sans the ear infections!
Heartrending to see Trav in his hospital gown. Glad he's finally getting the tubes in and sure hope that settles the ear infection problem once and for all! I just thought of a way for him to hold still for his post-op ear drops: since he loves to copy Sophie so much, have her lie down very still beside him. Yes, I know - those 2 don't really know what holding still is, but it was an idea...
How's Travy doing today, Weesie? Better? Got his big mondo nap and is happily back to his havoc-y ways? :) See you in one month minus 2 days. Not counting down or anything...
Oh no, poor little guy!! I'm sure that was stressful for all of you.. so sorry you had to go through that. Doesn't it put things in perspective - I think all the time of people who have serious health issues with their kids and are in and out of the hospital, etc.. I know we're all grateful for the healthy kids in our lives! I hope Travis feels better soon.
Hey Scrubber, Poor little guy:(... I sent you a text, we were in Austin this weekend, I didn't know if you have the same cell as you did this summer, anyway, we'll be back around the 20th... Maybe we can meet up. Love ya, Janelle
As a receiver of ear tubes myself~ it made a significant improvement. So, I've got my fingers that the same goes for Travis. I hope he is up and back to his normal cute self quickly.
I didn't know hospital gowns even came that small! Very sad, but kind of cute in a way to see him all dressed like a big guy! We hope his next ear tests come out ok!

Poor little Dino! I hope the ear tubes help.

It's nice to have it behind you. So hope it all works. Mom's need to cuddle after all that stress, too.

poor guy, but so cute in his hospital gown. Brody had surgery when he was 1 and it was sad when the nurses took him away, I was a little scared.
Fun cupcakes, the Mooreheads are such a fun family, you girls have the best ideas.
Love your Texas post, very funny. It was nice seeing you twice? at the gym before you moved :)
