Some of Bryce's college friends,
Jason and Sarah, were kind enough to host us during our time in "Colorful Colorado." We had a great time catching up with them and their cute little kids. Sarah was so super nice and took these adorable pics of Sophie - thanks again, Sarah! I've got to get those onto our computer and post them soon! Jason also took us around to show us some of the more spectacular "dirt and rocks" in their corner of CO. These rock formations are incredible! Check it out...

More cool dirt and rocks

This rainbow appeared on our way to dinner with our hosts - cool pic, eh?

Thank you, Jason, Sarah, Micaela, Lizzie, Rachel and Andrew!
Let us know when you're in Utah!

Goodbye Colorado!

Hello Utah!

We made it!!! We rolled into town just in time to spend a lovely evening with our good friend, Diana, and her cute hubby, Ryan, and then Bryce was off early the next morning for a 3-day rafting trip with fellow MBAs. While he was careening out-of-control on the wild waters, Sophie and I spent a few days with another good friend, Jenni, and her family. Jenni and fam were sooooo great! They took us all around town and showed us a wonderful time - thank you! we checked out the Children's Museum (which is AWESOME) and a cool barn/petting zoo, went swimming, played at the park... Sophie loved every second of it. Jenni also has a cat that Sophie adored. She was a little too affectionate for the poor cat, but Jessie (the cat) was a great sport about having a little one-year old chase her around all day. More pics...
Sophie loved these little cars at the Children's Museum.
I don't think she left this one for a solid half-hour...

Sophie to the rescue!!

When Bryce got back from his rafting trip, we stayed at my aunt and uncle's place in Heber. There were cows in front of the house and Sophie couldn't get enough of them!

Sophie and the cows. I love that little baby mullet!

I love this pic. This is how I found them when I woke up -
I have the cutest family members ever!

Friday night Bryce's brother, Cris, threw us a "Welcome to Utah!" party. We had a wonderful time and were so glad that so many friends were able to come! It is great to be living in a place where so many other people that we love also live!

Given Bryce's usual stance on Utah, we thought these Welcome Home balloons were especially hilarious. :) Also, a big thank you to Sister Oakland who hosted the party!

It's too bad we didn't take more pics at the par-tae, however, this one is just too good...
Bryce, Sophie, me and one of my favorite former roomies, Melyn!

The next day we finally moved into our new place. Thank you to everyone who came to help!! Sophie thoroughly enjoyed helping Bryce, Cris and Jamie re-assemble our computer desk and discover all the little places that she fit inside!

Sophie loves her Uncle Cris. :)

And phew. That's it! The end of our trip. The rest of the adventure is just beginning, though. We'll see what the next two years brings with it!

Looks like lots of fun!
I'm just going to guess you purposely planned on wearing that Dartmouth XC shirt just as you arrived to visit a fellow alum!
