Go Fish

Last weekend we made a trip up to Baltimore to check out the National Aquarium. And WOW - it is amazing. I'd even say it was am-aaa-za-ZING. We forked over the 3 extra bucks for the dolphin show, as well, and that was a well-spent 3 dollars if I do say so myself. My favorites were the dolphins and the blue poison frogs. They were SO COOL!!! Such cute little things. Shame they're poisonous, eh? There was this whole exhibit dedicated to frogs and Bryce and I had a great time jumping around looking at them all and trying to find the ones hidden in the leaves. Sophie had a great time roaming around in the open space and socializing with any kid under 10 that she could find. Pretty sure she made a few new best friends while we were there. Cute little baby. :)

Sophie and Bryce watching the sting rays being fed -- and then next to an enormous tank of fish by the name of Alewife. We decided that's where the Alewife T-stop in Boston got its name.

This blurry pic on the left is of the 3 of us in the Amazon room where there were tons of birds, fish and even a little Golden Tamarin monkey. And below is one of Sophie and I hanging out with the cool Amazon-weather-enjoying fowls.

This dude here was just snoring away and we thought he was pretty, so here's his little beaky mugshot.

And then... THE FROGS!!! Do we look excited about them or what?! The little blue fella that I'm pointing to is one of the Blue Poisonous Frogs that I mentioned above. They were just so bright and small and perky-looking. Again, too bad about that whole poison thing.

Here's a great shot Bryce got of one of the other frogs. This guy's just happy to be here.

Well folks, that's a wrap. Now that I've filled you all in on our weekend north I can head to bed and sleep happy thoughts. Good night!

That aquarium is awesome! We went there when we were in Baltimore in December. Definitely worth the trip. I like the picture of Sophie looking up at all the fish. So cute!

My husband was wearing a BYU shirt- how funny is that- we may have seen each other...or I guess it could have been someone else but either way-- its a small world after all. By the way I love your blog- it's so well done. I've got some work to do- how do you get the main part to be so nice and wide?

I'm muy excited for you to come up here next week. It's going to be oh so fun. And I can't wait to see little Soph-dawg in person. She's hilarious and oh-so curious. I'm sure she will get into things that Sam has never dreamed of yet. :)

Have you re-read HP 6 yet? It's so good. I am almost done - Just Dumbledore's funeral left to go. Do you think he's really dead?

Marci said...

Matt thinks he can't really be dead. AND he thinks that Snape is good. That Snape is just keeping his cover story and that was the reason Hagrid saw them arguing in teh forest. Because Dumbledore told Snape that he HAD to kill him (or at least make it appear that way) so that Voldemort would believe that Snape was on the dark side.

I don't know... but I keep hoping that Dumbledore will come back as a WHITE wizard now. Just like Gandolf the grey did.

AND, WHO is R.A.B.? Meliss thinks it's Regalius or whatever his name is Black. Sirius' brother who supposedly was bad. Could be, could be. Would be an interesting twist.

How is the apartment shopping going? I still think that 800/month is a STEAL. Wish I could pay that here and live in something more than a box. sigh.

Lisa, SO fun to hear from you!! How cute is Sophie?!! I bet you are the best mom. I am still in awe over the post where you are grinding wheat-- very impressive. Anyway, I am adding you to my list because I for sure want to be in touch...who knows, maybe you will have some eyeliner tips for me in the future:>

Hi Leese,
I hadn't realized that one way to keep up with Marci's latest thoughts is to read your blog comments! You could start an HP blog comment column here. I know she's counting down the days 'til you go to Boston, but that can't compare to how excited 5 of us are here for you to hit CA! Tell Bryce I am looking for a new video.

Nice...is it better than the New England Aquarium? ...Alewife Brook is the border of Arlington & Somerville... Alewife Station is your last stop.
(We love the T.)
