Standing Tall

Sophie has become quite proficient at standing up these days. She pulls herself up onto just about anything she can reach. Eeks! I turn my back for about 5.25 seconds and when I turn back around she'll be standing up next to something else -- you never know what will be next! I caught some of her recent standing escapades on film.

Giving herself kisses in the mirror
"Is that you back there, Mom?"
So cute. :)
Har-har-har, I tell the funniest jokes!
Sophie LOVES strings. Strings of any sort. The drawstrings on my pajama pants & hoodies, the strings on the computer chair cover (as pictured here), her favorite striped ribbon and any cord (strings, cords - basically the same thing, right?). She's gotten so good at waving strings around that we're pretty certain she has a promising future in rhythmic gymnastics!! I can see her now, doing a split jump in the air while artfully waving a ribbon-baton-thingy spelling out "S-O-P-H-I-E" in the air!
Sophie and her mad ribbon skills in 15 years. Little Baby, Big Chair
Jail Bird! One of her favorite posts - standing up next to the secretary. She just barely fits under the desk top!

I like the one of Sophie at the mirror laughing . So cute! She's getting more hair too... Can't wait until you can do pigtails. Little girls with pigtails are to die for.

Yay for Sophie, big Stander Girl! She really likes the mirror, eh? I love the strings-and-straps phase... belts are also very entertaining. Sam once sat for half an hour with two belts and a purse strap as her only "toys"! Live it up while it lasts.

It will be a sad day when she stands up under that desk and bonks her head. so cute at that age!

I burst into a good belly laugh seeing Sophie's future gymnastic promotional pic. Looks like her little limber body has quite a future!
The pic of the secretary makes me think of Grandma Wilson. She would be so happy to see little Soph standing next to her secretary.
