On the Mend

Some of you know, many of you don't... Sophie ended up having to have surgery on her broken arm. 2 days before Christmas. She is now sporting a rod that runs the length of her forearm. She did really well with the surgery. That's the good news. The bad news is that we'll have to do it all over again in about 2 months to have the rod removed. Lovely. Not surprisingly, a cast doesn't slow her down much. Among other things, she was out raking leaves with one arm the other day... Here are some pics from our 7 hours at the hospital.

It took her a loooooooooong time to wake up from the anesthesia... She woke up briefly for a few minutes - long enough to ask to sit in my lap - and then was out again. Cute little girl.

And some others while I'm sitting here uploading...

Poor little Sophie! I just read about her arm. I'm glad she enjoyed Christmas anyway, but that's tough for anyone especially someone so little. We are sporting our own Woody stuff around here lately. You can't escape it. The baby is so gorgeous. I hope you're getting a lot of cuddles!

I agree with you on that cracking the whip cowboy picture. Sure looks like the deal well - and have fun with it, too!

#1- Sam wants to tell Soph that those pics look just like he did when he had pictures of his throat! Except he got green funny socks instead of red.

#2 - We did the nativity too! Sam was a shepherd and Zack was a wise man. But we didn't have a REAL baby to play the part of Baby Jesus. Cute little Bridgey.

#3 - To Trav from Sam - "I have buzz lightyear pajamas! So does Zack! I'll bring them in February and let's dress up together!"
