One of My Favorite Smells

Thursday night I had a bunch of girlfriends over for this cooking thing we all get together for -- this time it was my turn to host and we all had a fabu time. In the course of the girl gab one of our friends told me that she had recently been reminded of our house. Curiosity peaked, I asked why? Our little basement apartment abode is not anything I'd call out of this world. Anyway, she said that she'd been reading this book (will have to ask her which book it was!) where it describes a kitchen that it is always warm, always smells like fresh bread and there are always people over. She thought to herself, "It's Bryce & Lisa's kitchen!"

So while our kitchen may not always be immaculately clean, organized or trendy, Bryce and I figure that if descriptions like that remind people of our house - whatever the size - we are totally a-ok with that!

Who was all there? It sounds like a blast! I think the description of your kitchen was perfect. I always felt welcome, and I still think of you as wonder woman whenever I smell freshly baked bread! I still think of that night you came over and taught me. I want to be like you when I grow up!

Hey Lisa, I love bread (we have been known to have a warm loaf and call it dinner around here :)) and I love that people think of you that way! I hope one day I can have a loaf...

So I have two questions for you - A) do you have any bread recipes you love and want to pass along? (I am always looking for new ones) and B) what is the cooking thing you do? Sounds fun and I am totally curious!!

Hope you guys are doing well! Can't wait to see new pictures!
Love,
Laura
